Hinge is currently in pursuit of a Vice President of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a pivotal role that will steer a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers. This dynamic team will spearhead the creation and deployment of cutting-edge AI features across the app. The VP of AI will operate within the auspices of Hinge's parent company, Match Group, and this hybrid position will be based in New York.
Reporting to Ben Celebicic, Hinge's Chief Technology Officer, the VP of AI will collaboratively engage with engineering, data, and product teams. Their mission is to establish the bedrock of AI at Hinge, propelling advancements in user safety, addressing algorithmic concerns, enhancing recommendation engines, and nurturing AI-generated interactions, among other objectives.
Navigating Ethical AI
In addition to driving AI innovation, this executive will shoulder a vital responsibility: ensuring that Hinge's AI is developed ethically. Addressing data privacy concerns and algorithmic bias will be integral to their role. Furthermore, they will collaborate with Hinge's top executives to define the company's overarching AI strategy and objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess a master's degree or a PhD in computer science, AI, data science, or a related field. Leadership experience in a "product-led tech company" is paramount, as is proficiency in the latest AI technologies. This includes expertise in generative AI tools like ChatGPT, coupled with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
